Rhetorical Analysis: Exegesis

To start off, I would just like to state a quite that was on the web site that I thought was real interesting. "On my way to the subway today, I passed by the Disney Store on Fifth Avenue and saw a quote from Walt Disney himself: Tomorrow will be better for as long as America keeps alive the ideals of freedom and a better life."
Out of all the blogs that were posted on the web site I decided to look at the one she wrote about freedom and a better life. It was first stated that now we just have to figure out what "freedom" and a "better life" is. Since September 11th happened and now that it is over and done with if you visiting New York City and Time Square you would be able to see that they are done mourning over what happened. You can tell by the billboards and pictures of half-dresses twenty-something and expensive toys that littered the city. But is the mist of all this madness was a sign of hope that made an encouraging statement to the whole city.
I have once lived in New York and would consider myself a New Yorker. Although now I do live in Florida I was born and raised a northern girl. But to consider myself an American is another question. While reading over the blog, they made a point that even though you are born in the states or rather New York are you really an American? Even though there are hard times still going on in New York over the past three years, and that I was in Florida when all this occurred I would consider me to be a New Yorker and one of the eight million who make that place so great that we can go through all of this with such an enormous amount of humanity and come out of it stronger than ever.
